Collection Information

At the Etna Library, we believe that the feel of a book's pages in your fingers as you eagerly flip towards the next chapter is transcendent. We also believe that the ability to instantly access a near-unlimited number of works of literature from your smart phone, and then carry them around snug in your pocket, is like magic.

The Etna Library offers collections for those who love print and for those who adore digital. We offer  eBooks, magazines, and audiobooks. We purchase the latest fiction, the hottest mysteries, the boldest science fiction. We fill our bookcases with biographies and histories. We shelve Nintendo Switch video games across from cookbooks and place the daily issue of the Valley News near the children's picture books.

Whatever you like to read/listen to/watch/play, and however you like to do it... the Etna Library has you covered!

Featured Collections

The Etna Library lets you borrow a lot more than just books. Here are a few of our featured collections:

Toniebox & Tonies

A Toniebox and Tonie figure

The Toniebox is a soft, screen-free speaker for children.

Using magnetic figurines called Tonies, toddlers and young children can navigate storytelling and music independently, opening up their world to a library of education and entertainment.

It is a kid-safe media platform filled with content from premium partners including National Geographic, Penguin Random House, and LeVar Burton. Tonies help bring on-demand, screen-free education to children.

A red toniebox

At the Etna Library, you can borrow the Toniebox, itself. Borrow some Tonies with it and watch your children enter worlds of music and stories.

The Toniebox is designed for independent play by children ages 3 and older.

Designed just for kids ages 3 and up, the Toniebox is a great companion for independent play. The controls are designed with little listeners (and little hands) in mind, so kids can easily adjust volume, fast forward, rewind and change stories all on their own.

Toniebox instructions: Turn on and play by pressing one of the ears on the box. Pause by removing the tonie from the top of the box. Change the volume by pressing the big ear (volume up) or small ear (volume down). Skip and go back by tapping toniebox on its side. Fast forward by tilting the box to one side. Charging - LED lights will turn orange when battery is low, time to charge.
